I have enjoyed a very successful law enforcement career. I have had the opportunity to spend 23 years with the City of Orlando Police Department. I established the Gang Intervention Unit during my tenure while serving as a Violent Crimes Detective. In 2016, I retired as the Aid to the Deputy Chief of Police. In addition to my law enforcement career, I served 21 years with the United States Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and commanding units at various levels to include Provost Marshal of Fort Buchanan Puerto Rico and several significant Special Operations Task Forces.
I hold an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University, an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Kansas City Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Saint Augustine’s College, and a Master’s degree from Troy State University in
Criminal Law. I am also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
